Via The Venus Project: "If technology does not liberate all people for the pursuit of higher aspirations in human achievement, then all its technical potential will be meaningless"
On the way home from dropping my BF off at work at 0-dark-30, I heard Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation" (1989) and Genesis' "Land of Confusion" (1986). Both songs are over 20 yrs old and yet the subject matter, social injustice and government corruption respectively, are still relevant today. Unfortunately, I don't think we should only give credit the artists for writing poignant timeless songs. It is said that history repeats itself, but that would suggest that the issues were addressed to begin with. Great videos though!
