You Have a Tank Wheel Chair!?!?

This article is about a UK man who received a sick hot tank wheelchair from a friend (some friend!) for Christmas. It seems the authorities are making a bit of a stink because, apparently, it really is a tank! It's width and weight technically make it a tank according to the UK Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency. I say have him cover the tread and give him a special permit already!

I come from a long line of engineers. My great-grandfather and grandfather worked on the Apollo missions. In fact, my great-grandfather was responsible for the model used to build the Lunar Lander and my grandfather's was one of the final signatures on the Lander before it was launched into space. So it should come as no surprise that I'm a dreamer myself and I believe anything is possible, we just have to figure out how! We can and should use advances in technology (many of which already exist) to meet, at no cost, the basic human needs of food, water, shelter, clothing and transportation. Second, we should strive for this reality in order to remove money from the central place it currently holds in our Money/Market System Economy (and move towards a Resource Based Economy) because: "Money is only important in a society when certain resources for survival must be rationed and the people accepts money as an exchange medium for the scarce resources. Money is a social convention...It is neither a natural resource nor does it represent one. It is not necessary for survival unless we have been conditioned to accept it as such." By eliminating the NEED for money to buy the necessities, we make it possible for a truly fair system to emerge. A system where you don't have to count on the misfortune of your neighbor for your own good fortune and every voice is heard no matter how little money is behind it. An Era of Abundance!
